The sample size of that poll I referenced is so small it's practically insignificant. I wonder how many people have tried bblean or xoblite? And what percentage stuck with it? I guess we'll never really know. Every day Vista gets delayed gives the bb shells more chances to garner users. Once Vista hits the stores, a lot of bb users will start messing with it full time, at least for a while I suppose.--Quidmeister 2:20, 30 March 2006 (CST)

It also seems pertinent to say that the poll was conducted before the latest version of Xoblite was released and therefore reflects a certain bias.--Malnilion 12:37, 22 April 2006 (PDT)

bblean v. xoblite

Is it really fair to say xoblite has a stronger aesthetic appeal, simply because it uses shadowed fonts? At least three visual improvements over bblean should be listed (in my mind) before we can say that xoblite can reliably prettier than bblean. (Then again, I am a bblean fanboy, since its ease of use is the sole reason I switched from GeoShell.)

xoblite also has these extra menu button icons, separators, and whatever. The main thing though is that the gradient rendering code is different. I can't really say which algorithm is better, I'm not an expert on that. Anyway, to me, xoblite always seemed to be 'the pretty BB', whereas BBLean was the slimmed down, quicker version. Nowadays it's getting modded in ways that don't particularly appeal to me, but I still have the older versions, so no problem with that. --Pkt-zer0 14:53, 13 April 2006

Also, we can determine a more accurate number of active *box users by counting the number of relevant screenshots that employ the various boxes on boxshots.org.--Doctorfrog 13:43, 13 April 2006 (PDT)

I disagree because the number of people who use the boxen and the number of people who post screenshots/styles to boxshots.org is a vastly different number.--Malnilion 12:35, 22 April 2006 (PDT)
