Added some more stuff to the broam listing. It needs a better arrangement of lists, and possibly better English. The lists could be added to the end of the section, and have a hyperlink to them instead, too, I guess.--Pkt-zer0 15:08, 17 March 2006 (PST)
- If you have an idea for broam listing, we could make a template out of it and then everyone could use the same thing for broam display. --Tres`ni 10:18, 21 March 2006 (PST)
[edit] Tutorial Ideas
The tutorial doesn't introduce the user to a couple of BBI elements (labels, sliders)and functions yet, and that would be nicer, probably. I also would've liked to attach an image ([1]), but it's not horribly important. I haven't included info on the unofficial 0.9.62y+ versions, either.--Pkt-zer0 14:24, 24 February 2006 (PST)
- I'm working on adding uploading abilities. Why don't we merge the 2 current tutorials [the one in the article and Jimmy's] to make 1 master tutorial at BBInterface Tutorial. Then we can break it down in chapters and what not for better flow. --Tres`ni 10:18, 21 March 2006 (PST)
- Also, should the Controls section be part of the tutorial? --Tres`ni 10:19, 21 March 2006 (PST)
- I've yet to check Jimmy's tutorial, but I doubt controls could be explained in greater detail in a tutorial that still remains efficient and straight-to-the-point. So there should be both - the tutorial mentioning a few specific uses for a control, whereas the other, more extensive documentation would provide in-depth info on every feature.--Pkt-zer0
[edit] Tutorial Grammar
Would anyone object to me editing Jimmy's BBI Tutorial? There're a few grammatical errors and a couple spelling errors. I gather that English isn't his primary language. But his English is far better than most of the trash proliferating the internet, that is for sure. :) --Xavier-DL 05:19, 20 March 2006 (PST) P.S.: I have little else to contribute at this time to the wiki, save my innate ability to spot spelling and grammatical errors at ten paces!
- Please feel free to edit any spelling and grammatical erros you find. Just note that I moved that tutorial to BBInterface Tutorial Jimmy --Tres`ni 10:18, 21 March 2006 (PST)
[edit] Feature wishlist
All the things you'd like to see added to this plugin go here.
- (Done) Up/Down actions for all mouse buttons
- Checked it out, probably can be done fairly easily. This can lead to a more cluttered editing interface, though.--Pkt-zer0
- What about doing something like OnClick RButton, OnClick LButton, etc. Use it as an optional with AnyButton being the default -- Tres`ni 20:00, 9 March 2006 (PST)
- Dock controls to corners
- (Done) User selectable color1 and color2 gradients
- User selectable fonts
- (Done) Polish infix notation interpreter for integers -- Pkt-zer0
- More powerful user-created variable handling -- Pkt-zer0
- Extended image support even for non-GDI+ versions -- Pkt-zer0
- OnMouseOver action
- Fixed alpha transparency
- Font shadow support
- there is also a current issue on string size on controls. Can this be fixed?
- I'm not sure if there really is, or at least where that comes from. Text field made through the StaticText agent are dynamically allocated to contain the full string that's specified. -- Pkt-zer0
- An option to enable or disable beveling. User override of blackbox's style setting.
- I have mixed feelings about this, but I guess a user wouldn't have to override style settings. I have a feeling BBInterface scripts are going to get a lot more complicated, lol. --Malnilion 06:00, 27 March 2006 (PST)
- Text alignments as a property of the caption, rather than the control itself. -- Pkt-zer0
- (Done) 'Edit modules' menu
- Text input object
^I'm being picky, I know, but I think it would be nice if people would sign their feature requests here on this discussion page --Malnilion 06:00, 27 March 2006 (PST)
